The Suitline brand comes from the same german company that is also responsible for the Hauptstadtkoffer brand. Owing to its low price and good quality, the Suitline suitcases are among the bestsellers on Amazon. The design is very successful and clearly stands out among suitcases in the lower price segment.
Low weight & quiet wheels
Despite the comparatively heavy ABS plastic, the Suitline Suitcase is surprisingly light. In the weight comparison, this suitcase occupies 5th place. The rollers are rubberised and very quiet. Together with the American Tourister Soundbox, it even takes 1st place in the volume comparison. The use of double rollers, which have a wider contact surface, is a further positive. Nevertheless, I am not entirely impressed with the way the suitcase rolls, as the rollers are a little smaller compared to higher-priced models.

However, the Suitline Suitcase’s biggest downside is its low storage capacity. Here, the suitcase occupies a measly 9th place. On the positive side, the suitcases can be expanded in sizes M and L. Using an additional zip, you can easily expand the size by up to 12 litres. The Suitline Suitcase is, however, not recommended if having plenty of storage space is very important for you.

9th best suitcase in the test
Test result
Among the branded suitcases, the model from Suitline is more likely to be at an affordable price level. For this, you will receive a suitcase that looks very attractive visually and is available in many colours. In terms of equipment, however, a few points have to be deducted: on the one hand, the storage capacity is comparatively small, and the handling is somewhat wobbly (rollers and telescopic rod).
For travellers with a low budget, the Suitline Suitcase may well fit the bill. This is because the overall quality is significantly better than with cheap no-name suitcases. It is, however, worth taking a look here at the value-for-money winner, the American Tourister Soundbox, which is slightly more expensive, but performed significantly better in the suitcase test.
For bargain hunters, I can certainly recommend the Suitline due to its good value for money. However, you should be aware that you will have to accept compromises to handling and storage capacity.
