Key Points in Brief
A suitcase without a zip!
Instead of closing it with a zip like usual, the Samsonite S’Cure is closed with 3 buckles. This means there is no fabric fold or zip ribbon which is susceptible to defects. Both sides of the suitcase are firmly connected to one another, which protects the contents and renders the suitcase very stable. This mechanism also makes opening and closing it more convenient.
Very robust shell and construction
Overall, the suitcase also makes a very robust impression. The shell is relatively thick and absorbs shocks well in spite of this. Certain parts, such as the telescopic rod for example, appear very solid. The rollers are very large and leave a good impression in terms of quality. Unfortunately, the robust design is reflected in its weight. This suitcase is comparatively heavy.

Weight and Capacity are not completely convincing
The Samsonite S’Cure is not exactly lightweight. In the weight comparison, it occupies a measly 9th place. For storage capacity, size M is quite impressive and occupies 3rd place. On the other hand, the hand luggage size S offers significantly less space than the other models and only occupies 9th place.

Conclusion – Samsonite S’Cure Review
6th best suitcase in the test
Test result
Among my readers, the Samsonite S’Cure is one of the most popular models. This is no doubt due to its good equipment and the unusual closure system (no zip) as well as its robust construction. The greatest downside is the comparatively heavy weight.
As a suitcase for hand luggage (size S), I can, however, only recommend the S’Cure to a limited extent. For on-board luggage, a low weight and large storage capacity are particularly beneficial. It is in precisely these two categories that the weak points of this suitcase in size S lie.
As for checked baggage (sizes M and L), the whole picture looks a little different: the capacity is significantly higher when compared to other suitcases. Only the weight is relatively heavy in these sizes as well. However, if that doesn’t bother you and if you are looking for a very robust suitcase where the contents are provided with the best possible protection, the S’Cure is a good pick for you.
