Samsonite Neopulse Review

The Samsonite Neopulse wins my suitcase test. It offers the best overall concept and comes with very good components. The high-quality polycarbonate makes it very lightweight and extremely shatterproof. Also praiseworthy are the large rubberised double wheels, which roll particularly smoothly. The telescopic handle is also very stable, and hardly wobbles at all. I also liked its interior furnishings the best out of all of the suitcases I tested.
I was unable to find anything in the Samsonite Neopulse to really criticise, even in the long-term test. However, it is somewhat susceptible to scratches, since it is made of polycarbonate and the surface is very smooth.

Key Points in Brief

Best in Test:

Good results in all categories

The Samsonite Neopulse wins the most points in the testing and offers the best overall package. The components are of exceptionally high quality, and attention has been paid to the quality of each individual part. Its visual design is also appealing and elegant. All of these factors make this suitcase a comfortable and reliable travel companion.

Samsonite Neopulse - Ultralight

Because of the high quality polycarbonate:

Very light and extremely break-proof

The polycarbonate shell shows extremely high impact resistance and is very rigid. This kind of plastic is also highly effective at absorbing shocks. All this means that polycarbonate is considered to be almost unbreakable. At the same time, the material is very light, which is an important feature for luggage. The disadvantage comes in the form of a slightly higher price.

Best components in the test:

Smooth-running wheels & stable telescopic rod

In this test, the Samsonite Neopulse took first place for components. Above all, it scores highly for its large wheels and a very smooth roll. The interior is also a visual success, and highly functional. The telescopic rod is stable, and can be adjusted smoothly. Even when extended, it hardly wobbles at all.

Samsonite Neopulse Long-term Review

My personal favorite:

Also passes the long-term test

I have used the Samsonite Neopulse since 2017 on many different trips, and it was never spared a beating. I’m still thrilled by this suitcase. It has flawlessly shrugged off every strain – whether air travel, cloudbursts, or cobblestones. There’s only one long scratch on the front to remind me of a flight to Istanbul. 😊

Test result

The Samsonite Neopulse performs very well and is the winner in my suitcase test. This is mainly due to the good overall concept of the suitcase and the focus on quality.

It offers the best components and convinces with comfortable rolling. Due to the use of polycarbonate, the Samsonite Neopulse is very light and it’s shell is extremely break-resistant. The disadvantage of the material, however, is that the shell is somewhat prone to scratches. In addition, the material is comparatively expensive.

The only category where the Samsonite Neopulse does not make the top 3 is capacity (6th best). However, there is also no other hard-side suitcase in the test that offers more space and can keep up with the quality of the Neopulse.

So if you value a lot of capacity, I recommend taking a look at the Samsonite Spark SNG soft-shell case. It offers the most space in the test. Otherwise I can give an unreserved recommendation to purchase the Samsonite Neopulse. It has been my faithful travel companion for several years and it has also passed the long-term use test.
