The American Tourister brand belongs to Samsonite and is known for good quality as well as eye-catching design. In terms of appearance, the Bon Air is one of my absolute favourites. This suitcase doesn’t just look good, however, it also uses high-quality material: the hard shell is made from polypropylene, which is very rare in this price category. In contrast to ABS plastic, this material is very light, flexible and resistant to breaking.

If you love bright colours, the American Tourister is the right suitcase for you. The Bon Air is also available in a wide variety of bright colours. While I tested the suitcase in classic black, there are 10 more bright colours to choose from. This certainly makes it stand out from the pack on the suitcase conveyor belt at the airport.

Comparatively small capacity & small wheels
If you need lots of space in your suitcase, the Bon Air Spinner isn’t particularly suitable for you. It possesses a slightly smaller volume when compared to most other suitcases in the test. I am not entirely impressed with single-wheel rollers either. Although they are very quiet and run smoothly, they tend to tilt more than larger double rollers.

Test result
The Bon Air Spinner impresses with its good appearance, high-quality material and good value for money. I am also very fond of the interior design.
The downsides include above all the low storage capacity and somewhat wobbly single-wheel rollers.
If you are looking for an affordable suitcase and don’t have to transport a lot of luggage, the Bon Air is an attractive travelling companion. A good alternative with more storage space is the American Tourister Soundbox.
